Always being the one taking the pictures means there are very few photos of me, and people keep asking what I look like. Luckily, life has been so hectic planning for the silent auction, that I have not had a minute to think about going out and shooting anything else, but this.

.
Everything for the Silent Auction is coming together better than I ever could have expected and I am super stoked for it! The support it has been getting is phenomenal. For a sneak preview of what is in store watch MTV Live TOMORROW!!

Thanks for all the support, I cannot wait to see you there!

Yesterday, I stopped by the Baitshop, to meet with the guys. Since we were on the road when I booked the space, it was my first time ‘officially meeting’ the guys, and they really are rad! Not only are they a gallery and event space but they are also a full service screenprinting facility. It was so exciting seeing the gallery and planning everything out. The whole event is coming together amazingly!
There is even going to be a little unexpected extra at the show, completments of Ken and Greg <the Baitshop guys>. So stoked!

.
This summer was more than phenomenal, in a completely indescribable way.
I really wanted to share a bit of the experience with you, while also giving something back. So I am having a silent auction photography show to support the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation. I look forward to seeing, or meeting you there!
Your support is what has made this all possible.

Due to the way that life skateboarding across a country goes, the wrap party was held on Nov. 01. Even though it was a little early it was still too good!! The Element skate team made the massive trip from Toronto to Halifax just to be there. The event was held at the Commons skatepark. The day was complete with music, skateboarding, and the opportunity for everyone who made it out to become a part of Skate4Cancer….and skate with Rob!

It was a ridiculously fun day that finished with the best possible after party.
The Element Team, some new friends from Halifax and ourselves (Skate4Cancer) headed to the showroom…and the place was phenomenal! It was so good to be able to just hang out, relax and skate for a while with such a rad group of people!

At 1:35a.m. Rob Dyer officially skateboarded over 7500km from Vancouver, British Columbia to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Rob just skateboarded right across CANADA!!
I am in shock, we cannot actually be done…can we?
.
.
Dyer skated yesterday, until he could not skate anymore…literally!
According to the map Jersey road connects to HWY 104, in reality however, Jersey road was no longer a road but rather a snowmobile track. At 11p.m. Dyer can barely see the road let alone a snowmobile track, there was absolutely no way we would be able to make it HWY 104. There was nothing left to do but sleep exactly where we were and wait for the sun. By morning it became clear that Dyer would be able to walk the 1/2km down the snowmobile track to HWY 104.

.
It was a rough start to the day, but luckily Mendes was around with a box of Cheerios…
.
.
It is a good thing he was here to lift every ones’ spirit because Dyer has to be back in Toronto tomorrow night so he does not have a choice but to skate until we make it to Halifax!
.
.
We have been working so hard at this, for so long, that when the Nova Scotia sign finally appeared in the distance it did not even seem real. The supposed impossibility of actually skateboarding across one of the biggest countries in the world, seemed to make the whole experience of actually reaching the last provence, unreal. After spending almost five months on the road, the idea that Rob was almost there just did not seem to make any sense.
.
.
.
.
With about 150km to go and only a day to do it in, it is going to take every last ounce of energy that Rob has to make it to Halifax on time. I have trouble believing the amount of determination that can come from one person.

Due to the craziness of getting to Halifax, the past week was too hectic to waste time looking for an internet connection in order to update the blog, so the next few post are going to be from the last week of Skate08.
Here it is….

After spending four days in the van, listening to the rain, watching the clock and getting no where, when the ground finally dried we could not wait to get moving.

This shot cost me my last pair of shoes, my only clean pants, and my last pair of matching socks.
Things are running out fast, we have to get home soon! ; >
